As a Client Services Student, you will:
- Undertake follow-up calls with clients to verify continued employment as part of job retention support services
- Compile new and updated materials for clients
- Provide reception coverage: answer telephones efficiently and accurately
- Assist clients in the Resource Centre
- Provide clerical support, format documents, set up tracking sheets, enter information, etc.
- Organize supplies and documents, and archive old client files
- Assist other JVS Toronto locations remotely if needed
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Enrolled in, or a graduate of a post-secondary school program
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate in software used by the agency (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A clear Police Check and Vulnerable Sector check is required
Under the terms of our government funding, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations;
- Hold a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
