About the Program
The Newcomer Youth Connections to Success (NYCS) is a dynamic program designed to support newcomer youth (ages 15–18) in successfully transitioning into the Canadian education system and future workforce. The program focuses on building confidence, social connections, and early career direction through mentorship, skills development, and exposure to post-secondary and career pathways.
International Skills Applied to Geriatrics (ISAGE) bridge training program is delivered from the North office in partnership with George Brown College and other stakeholders. ISAGE provides internationally trained professionals with essential skills for successful integration into the Canadian labor
As a Manager, you will:
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for youth and bridge training programs, ensuring achievement of contractual obligations, service excellence, financial accountability, staff performance, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the delivery of program activities, including group workshops, one-on-one services, mentorship initiatives, guest speaker engagements, and educational site visits, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategic objectives
• Lead program planning, curriculum development, evaluation, and continuous improvement by collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure program relevance and effectiveness
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with employers, educational institutions, community organizations, funders, and other stakeholders to support recruitment, referrals, program promotion, and participant success
• Ensure all contractual deliverables, performance targets, budgets, reporting requirements, and program expenditures are met in compliance with funder agreements and organizational policies
• Oversee all aspects of staff leadership, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, professional development, and team engagement
• Monitor program performance through data analysis and reporting, ensuring accurate documentation in Salesforce and other internal systems while providing timely reports to leadership and funders
• Provide management support and operational backup to other Employment Services programs and leadership as required to ensure continuity of service
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive management experience leading employment, training, education, or community programs, including direct supervision of staff, budget management, and accountability for program outcomes
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, coaching, developing, and managing employee performance while building high-performing teams
• Proven experience managing contractual deliverables, funder compliance, performance indicators, and reporting requirements
• Experience administering program budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability
• Extensive knowledge of Employment Ontario and/or bridge training programs within a funded service delivery environment
• Experience developing operational plans, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and using data to inform program decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong cultural sensitivity and understanding of newcomer needs
• Strong computer skills, ability to learn and implement databases, analyze data, produce reports and make improvements
• Experience managing program budgets, forecasting expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability within funded programs
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and excellent time management in meeting tight deadlines
• A clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this position
